Who are they? The Claptomaniacs formed in 2014 in the Noosa shire with a common love for music of their own times. Lead singer is Kenny Gamble; guitar/vocals David Zuric; keyboard/vocals Jonathan May; Jon Brown bass/vocals; Alan Lander drums/vocals.

Are they just another cover band? No, they select quality dance and ballad material, primarily from the UK and USA, less often played in Australia but still known. The Australian 'Oz Rock' market is already pretty well covered so we leave it alone.

Are they a tribute band? No. No impersonations, fancy dress costumes, wigs or face paint, just good music.

Who do they cover? The repertoire includes material originally performed by Eric Clapton/Cream, Joe Cocker, Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers, Rolling Stones, Boz Scaggs, Atlanta Rhythm Section and more.

Who is their audience demographic? The natural audience tends to the 40+ age, however there is a growing appreciation amongst younger people who hear the band for the 'retro' sound.

How loud are they? The band caters for all venue circumstances and balances sound to ensure audiences are not made uncomfortable throughout an evening. Many venues also want a quieter 'dinner' set prior to ramping up to dance music - The Claptomaniacs have ample material to cater for that.

Where have they played? The list includes surf clubs, bowls clubs, RSLs, general sporting clubs, festivals, shows and private functions, from Wide Bay to the Gold Coast. Every venue has re-booked the band since.

Is video of the band available? Yes. Click on the links below (NB these clips are what-you-see-is-what-you-get; no enhancement has been done - however forgive the bad camera placement at times ...)
